SLICE File Binary Transfer in Tera Term..

I have been using HyperTerminal and was adviced to switch to Tera Term.

I finally got it all setup but when I transfer file, there is a checkbox "Binary" at the bottom. The Help section suggest me to NOT to use Binary when transfering "TEXT' file.

I am a bit confused on this. When transferring all the DAT files, TCL files and SLICE files, do you enable the Binary? Is there a way to make it "automatic" like HyperTerm?

Zmodem transfers should always be binary. If there is an option, send everything as binary, including the text files. It certainly won't hurt anything, and is a good practice to get into.
