Unit slowing down, now reboots itself..

I'm running a Hughes with the factory 40Gb and 100gb for the B drive, 25Xtreme, mvch134 with the speed up;

} elseif { $loops >= $maxloops } {

to:

} elseif { $maxloops > 0 && $loops >= $maxloops } {

Things have been running fine until last night when I notice a real slow down. So, last night I decided to stop all season passes and delete most of the recorded shows.

Today just watching live tv, the unit reboots itself and still is very, very slow.

Any thoughts on what going on?

The first thing I would have done was disable the mvchannels stuff.

How big is your channels.dat file?

Disable the rc.sysinit enabling of mvchannels. See if that helps.

Channel.dat is 18392

I'll kill mvch and see if that helps, I'm sure it will. However, it's been running fine with this enabled until yesterday.

I guess I should have asked how many channels are in your channels.dat file?

I left them all in just # out all but my locals, NY and LA.
