Is there a faq or step by step on how to setup local channels with Directivo?

Can I get all the local channels like I use to with my sony a2, or am i limited to where I live?

This is starting to worry me. I was told that my Sony T60 would get locals just like my Sony A4 running SLE. I guess this isn't the case?

With the spot beams now in place, you can only get what they send down to your area, plus the few national feeds. This isn't affected by the generation of receiver. But, you have to keep in mind a DTivo is a 5th generation box, and some more effort must be used to get the same results when using SLE.

The tweaking that needs to be done for a 5th gen box is on SLE only, right? Nothing has to be done to the tivo?

How long have you been emulating? I would re-read Bubblelamp's post. Spot beam has been around for quite some time now.

I have been emu'ing for a good while. I understand spot beam. I am in the Texas Panhandle and can get Denver, CO locals because I am in range. As long as that is still the case then I am fine.
