I have read Taran's how-to and I have read about logsnull but I am still not clear on what is the best method for dealing with the log file problem (if indeed there actually is a problem). Can somebody who has attempted any of the methods please post their results and let us know how it's working? Also, is one method preferable (especially for those of us who know nothing about Linux)?

Nothing against Taran, but I used SuperZap's method. I've seen a few people get in trouble editing the very important TClient file, so if you have trouble with JOE be sure to make a backup first. Editing fixsub.tcl is less dangerous, since if you mess it up the only negative effect is the Tivo won't be subbed.

I used Superzaps method yesterday and the log files appear to stay at 1 byte each. It was painless and seems to work well. It did take awhile to find the thread that had the link in it so I'll make it easy for you. Here it is the link:

The instruction for use are in the same Superzap post..

I used it on a Sony T60
