Has anyone fried their tivo using the dtivo video extraction above?
To what I understand, we can use that to extract recordings from the tivo to the computer, right? If so, then can you use these files to burn a vcd?
I was planning on doing this after I install extreme2.5 so I don't have anything to lose. I don't wont to f up my tivo though. I can always reinstall extreme if i need to but i want my tivo to still work.
I'm kind of scared to perform this. Maybe i'll wait until it's 100%.

The strong warning is there just to let you know that YOU are responsible if something gets hosed. (I haven't heard of a single porblem (with extraction) that's even remotely likely that reloading extreme or a good drive backup wouldn't cure)
