Are you the same mrfixit from the chrysler forums? I hope so... cause I've very confused on all this IR/RF business! Your advice on the Chrysler forum (and carspace) has been a huge benefit to me as I've installed headrest monitors in my 2007 Pacifica. Like many others, it came with a changer, but without a monitor. Everything is working great!--except for sound. I believe I have an IR unit based upon there being an IR Transmit Enable pin on the back of the changer. What I'm trying to figure out is--What is that for? I have a power acoustik HD-88 installed... It came with an external box that has Audio/Video input then outputs video to the screens and audio wirelessly (VIA RF) to the included headphones. Do I still need to use the IR enable? thanks for all the help... I appreciate it.
