Another thing to check is whether the white ribbon cable that goes to the front panel near the back of the hard drive might have been knocked loose when you removed the drive.

Well, reading further up in this thread I was trying to backup and replace a certain file in there. Maybe this file doesn't exist on a 7000 or is it in a different location?
On my DSR7000 I don't see any files in the /etccombo directory. Am I doing something wrong?
