Oh, that looks VERY interesting. Does it also work on the older S2 DTiVo's? Can you provide a link?

I've had stereo equipment blown by a power problem covered by a combo of renters insurance and local power co-op. Neither group wanted the equipment and both told me to dispose of it as I wished. I...
Check your homeowners insurance, you may be able to file a claim and purchase another TiVo HD/Premier plus lifetime to replace the damaged unit.
I would also write a certified, return receipt...
This is what bad caps looked like in my TiVo HD power supply.

It "breaks the chain of trust" on the TiVoHD/S3/S2.5, allowing you to modify the kernel and other software on the TiVo. It is the first step in hacking the TiVo.
Most DTiVos and v2.0/v1.0 TiVos...
Not directly.
Pull the shows off the DTiVo's (mfs_ftp, TyTool, etc.) and convert them to mpg2. Use Pytivo to transfer them to the S4.
I have 11.0j on one of my hacked HD's, but I haven't allowed it to install yet.
Is there anything I can do to help out? I don't know much of the background stuff, but I can follow instructions.

According to TiVoJerry:
I chose to do the CCI byte hack to maintain compatibility with unmodified TiVoHD's. If I had used the NoCSO hack, I would not have been able to transfer and play the show onto a stock TiVoHD. With...
Yes, one of the hacks available is the CCI byte hack which allows you to pull any show (recorded after the hack) off the TiVoHD.
The premier has an optional HD user interface, disk space meter,...
Yep, I've had three TiVoHD's done, and the CCI byte hack works like a charm on TWC in DFW. It will prevent any FUTURE recordings from having the CCI byte set.
Welcome Dave. Did you finally get tired of fighting with TWC over the CCI Byte?
I've done exactly that.
I use Hackman and TivoWebPlus on a almost daily basis.
Thank you for continuing your work on TiVo Hacking.
It looks like Blockbuster is closing out TiVo HD's and TiVo S2DT's. I just picked up a TiVo HD for $99 in Colleyville, TX (DFW)
You can use the unsubscribed S1 as a security camera recorder... other than that... I got nothin'.
If you can run a Sat cable to the DTiVo then it won't nag you. I didn't bother because once you start the show it won't nag you until you go back to a menu screen.
If you are talking about Directv TiVos like the HDVR2, etc. then yes, you can do that and use MRV (v6) to transfer shows over the network. The second DTiVo will need to have a card in it, but won't...
The only thing keeping me from getting the Premier is the CCI byte issue. Since I HEAVILY use MRV/TTG, and TimeWarner Dallas sets the CCI byte on almost everything, until that can be bypassed I have...
Very cool. I have 3 TiVoHD boxes in my current stack. Could multiple BT TiVoHD adapters coexist?
According to this post: http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=7833681#post7833681 11.0f will be rolling out to everyone by the end of the month.
According to this post:...
I use http://tivoplaylist.dyndns.org/ and http://tivodecode.sourceforge.net/ to get encrypted shows off of my TiVoHD and unencrypt them.
I use http://pytivo.sourceforge.net/ to put unencrypted...
I've been sending spam links to ronnythunder for awhile.... Seems to be the only way to get them taken care of.
I wish the owners of DDB would just point the spam report to him.
You will likely only see the CCI Byte set if you have cablecards in your TiVo.
You can get a Nokia phone to USB adapter off of ebay and use it as a TTL connection to the TiVoHD.
There are details somewhere in one of the TiVoHD threads about setting that up.
