what part is the ftp server on the tivo is it the default 21? i cant seem to connect to the tivo via ftp but i could connect via telnet

it have been a while since i hack the tivo. how would i go about accepting the upgrade

my tivo have ftp and telnet open.

oh yah pending restart a while ago i read on a thread that say something about chron or something i'm sorry i lost touch with tivo for a while.

ever since the new update came out my tivo have to restart at midnight or so.

i set the tivo to not accept software upgrade i dont know what is going on...

well u need to use msftool to back it up . and then burn it.
ask some of the pros here for the step by step i have never done it myself all i did was put it in another hd...
