Oh, OK. Our UK guide data has many shows with not EpisodeTitle.
Another question. The automated extract is putting most stuff neatly in folders, which is nice, but series without episode titles are not getting put in folders. Is that something I can change in a...
OK, some progress. Adding the -copyts parameter (which copies the time stamps from the source video to the output) has made things MUCH better with a manual encode. Now to try it with a TySuiteJ...
Just tried manually using ffmpeg to transcode a TiVo sourced MPEG and I get the same jerkiness. The extracted MPEG plays fine. So it looks like its an ffmpeg issue.
Has anyone here got this to...
I'm wondering if it's some kind of buffering issue during the transcode?
Will do, but I've started dserver manually an all seems to be working despite the error messages in the setup checker,
However I do now have another problem!
I'm trying to get automatic...
I'm having problems with getting this going.
It says that NowShowing is not in the PATH, but it is!
The NowShowing file is in a directory in the PATH, and has been chmodded. If I telnet...
" unmatched open brace in list " sounds like the mfs_ftp script itself has become corrupt. Try re-installing it with a freshly downloaded copy.
How much interest is there in further developing EiVo?
I've made contact with Masnark, and hope to persuade him to make the source code available - but there's no point in doing so if there's no...
Hi,
I'm wanting to use eTivo to create .mpgs, ie just the output of TySplit.
Is there a set of mencoder parameters which would cause it to do a straight copy rather an re-encodings?
Either get a player which can change aspect ratios on playback, eg Media Player Classic. Or when you transcode, transcode to a widescreen square-pixel resolution, ie 1024 x 576.
I'm sure it's...
I've noticed that when extracting video from my S1 TiVo with MFS_FTP, that if I minimise the SmartFTP client the transer rate leaps up from ~2500kB/s to ~3000KB/s.
Very odd.
Anyone else seen...
Can I (very belatedly) second the request for the two-pass bug to be fixed. It would greatly increase the quality of eTivoed files.
TyShow has to be installed on the Orb server machine, not the client?
Very, very far!
You sometimes get a Tmk Assertion Failiure with memory issues, sometimes caused by having a very large number of shows in Now Showing - could that be related?
Also, what are you speeds like using regular FTP?
Have you tried using mfs_ftp to see if it's a software issue?
You should get over 2Mbytes/sec.
Have you tried connection with a Windows graphical client like SmartFTP? I'd be tempted to eliminate the client form the suspect list.
That would be great; the single pass encoding is not as efficient or as high quality as it could be. I'd use Divx/XVid, but the fianl output device is MCE and its Divx support is rubbish.
Do you have mfs_ftp set to output filenames the correct way?
1) eTiVo mirroring output files in a structured way for use in MCE or other media player
2) Demux to MPEG before encoding to allow use of two-pass encoding
3) Space maanagement by deleteing oldest,...
Could the fact that this plug-in converts to .mpg before encoding mean that it could be adapted to create .wmv's using 2-pass encoding? (You can't with eTiVo by default, as TyShow doesn't support it).

Ignore. Misundertood thread.
Will do; I'll have a play later.
