edit title 4.0 doesnt let me put in the FSID code for renaming the recordings.

It gives me the menus and I can select the options but when it askes for the input it just goes back to the menu.

It really depends on the model of the series 2. If it is a TCD240XX then YES you can use it to record and rewind and extract video from it. Everything is possible. You just dont get the guide data...

TWP is giving be nothing but errors

well as far as the S2 being a paperweight, I dont think so. I love it with the HMO and the recording. The ONLY problem is the channel data
