With the 6.3b update, there is no need for netconfig.tcl anymore. "Phone & Network Settings" is now available from the Tivo menus.
My md5sum is also the same, but I also get the same error from recstatus.tcl. Tried this on a DSR704 6.2 and HR10-210 6.3a and 3.1.5, all with same exact error.
EDIT: Did some debugging, and it's...
I had the exact same issues when I first upgraded, and I tried both the 315 and 722 kernel with similar results. Since then, I went back to my 3.1.5 and never had the performance/lockup/reboot issues...
I didn't. I lost the recordings in the process, but what mattered were all downloaded to my real media server anyway.
My symptoms were similar to tivofnd. When tuned to at most one HD channel things are fine, but it gest progressively worse as the number of HD streams are introduced. I could never watch an HD...
I have very similar problems, but they don't manifest themselves as audio stutter. The load sometimes goes as high as 10 especially when both tuners are tuned to OTA HD. Monday nights is especially...
Using 7.2.2 kernel and DHCP and everything works. I had to replace the /sbin/iptables with an "exit 0", otherwise tivoapp kept getting TmkAssertion failures and went into a reboot loop.
I wonder how they are going to transfer all 200 hours of recorded shows when they do the swap. ;)
I remember having this work in the earlier versions, but is it possible that it's now broken? My notifications do not go, and I see no events of even an attempt in the log file. I don't have SMTP...
OK, so finally there is positive confirmation of the UI/guide speed I've been waiting for. Has anyone tried wireless usb on it yet? Since there is no UI to configure ESSID/WEP one probably needs to...
Interesting. I too have Vonage and do not have the 11 digit CID problem somehow.
Anyway, bluelite contacted my via PM asking for the same thing, and has already modified the code for himself. He...
Yeah, I tried the same with no luck. I also know that this tivo is eligible to take the upgrade because it already has the slices from sattelite in the current 4.0 install. In a [futile] attempt to...
I stand corrected, they are not in that package. I forget where I acquired them, but when I built my HDVR2 from scratch I loaded lots of stuff, which now also shows the following in...
They are in the 4.01b slices on emule with the name "TiVo.4.01bslices.and.loopsets.AlphaWolf.tar.bz2".
Now that you have the 6.2 working, can you tell us how fast the guide is compared to 3.1.1/4.0?
What happens is that Tivo will still try to call every day because even though FakeCall sets the last call time and success status, it doesn't sent the event to let myworld know about that. Even...
Anyone have some good input on how fast the guide difference is? There is some hearsay and speculation, but is it significantly faster? I was planning to upgrade my DVR40 to 4.01 soon, but perhaps I...
As an additional benefit, people can use the same slices to upgrade non-RID S2s without having to do any chain loading.
Run installSw.itcl as per AW's instructions above, copy over the hacks and...
All that being said, if you feel up to it, there is a way to run IIS on XP Home.

OK, this worked. Thanks.
Here is the error stack for the notification error:
Error: Notifications: Attempt to send an email message got the following error:
System.Web.HttpException: Could not access 'CDO.Message'...
I decided to give the notifications a shot and got this error in the log:
Error: Notifications: Attempt to send an email message got the following error:Could not access 'CDO.Message' object.
Is...
I second that motion
Ha! Anybody else noticed JJBliss's signature:
I think there is only one thing to say:
Anyway, $20 on the way.
