    Serial Cable

    Is the serial cable mention in these forums the same one that comes with a SA unit used to connect to DSS receiver?

    Also I beleive I read that it is the same cable used with a Philips Pronto remote serial cable used to download files.
    I just want to make sure.

    If you use the cable that comes with the SA Tivo, you need a null-modem adapter as well.

    A Pronto cable works fine as is.
