    Question power problem

    My TiVo seems to have a problem powering up. When I'm watching both live TV or recorded programming, the system would automatically shut off and power up, initially every 5-10 minutes, but now almost constantly.

    I get the first screen "powering up" then "just a few more seconds" sometimes it will get to "acquiring guide" but sometimes it will go straight back to the first "powering up" screen.

    The longest it will run is just a few minutes and then it powers up again.

    Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and how to attempt to fix?

    Is this a SA or DTV?

    If it is a Dtivo try reseating the small ribbon cable between the mother board and the power supply.

    It is located under the drive bracket.
