    AVS Forum

Not that I liked them much anyway, but has the AVSForum dropped off the face of the earth?

    Thanks, Bubble, but...

Extremely weird... I cannot go to that site; IE times out even if I try just www.tivocommunity.com.

Anyone else having problems in getting there?

Stranger yet... I can go there from a different computer (XP), but not from mine (Win2K). Security is not an issue according to my settings.

I have occasions where my system won't see certain sites. I blame it on one of the bazillion patches MS has come up with. Anyway, sometimes I do a net stop dnscache, net start dnscache and things will work. The really weird part is if I try nslookup, it usually works, but the brower will still puke. ipconfig /flushdns is another thing to try.

Thanks, I'll try those methods. It makes me wonder how many times in the past I've thought that a site had died, but was still there...
