    is there a chat room for TIVO?

    does anybody know if there is a chat rrom for Tive where you can talk live to people.

    Hi Guys,

    Sorry for that lame rule. There was a problem way back when the board was started with IRC and since then I never took it off. So starting today the rule is gone!

    I'll let everyone know too...

    BTW I will attempt to start an irc server on that will be through dealdatabase.com so it will be part of this board.

    Technical people?

    On IRC you will find most often people are not there. The technical people will see it as a major waste of time (it is). And the newbies will come on asking the same question so often as to run off the rest of the technical people.

    IRC is mostly about people BSing with others. Very seldomly is real information passed around.

    Torg is completly right that is why for a long time I asked that IRC would not be posted here, because it's a waste of time for most of the users. No history and etc, people get pissed at each other because they keep answering same questions all the time, where on the board you can use search and find the answer to the question that was asked already before..

    That's my 2 cents..

    the reason I started this on the first palce is cause I started to ask here ? and I never seemed to get an answer. This is one big problem that I got right now can someone please help me out. here is the thread where I posted my question.

    There is a channel on irc.uicn.net called #pvr just for Tivo stuff, been there a while.
