    Question Trouble with TyTool

    Hello,

This may sound obvious, but I can't get tytool working .
I've tried multiple versions of the file. I've chmod 777 the NowShowing.tcl. All the files are in the same directory. I've eliminated everything obvious I can think of

I get this error in the shell:

    bash-2.02# ./tserver_mfs5
    Doing the Lowest PriorityFix...
    Priority set...
    Waiting for an incomming connection!
SERVER: We got a message! buf = 'SHOWING'
sh: ./NowShowing.tcl: No such file or directory
    Waiting for an incomming connection!

I get this in the tytool program.

    Connecting to '10.0.0.150'
    Connected...
    Getting NowShowing data...
Sorry.. Could not obtain the list.

    Can anyone help me please?

I had the same problem- but did a SEARCH and found my answer.

Delete your NowShowing.tcl, re-transfer it to the TiVo in binary format, and then do the chmod.

Also, NowShowing.tcl has to be in the same directory as mfserver. If you are calling it from rc.sysinit you have to cd into the same directory before calling mfserver.

This had always worked fine for me until after 3.1 Kraven Xtreme.

I got the original error, then transferred over binary and it fixed it.

However, now I'm getting this error:
    Waiting for an incomming connection!
SERVER: We got a message! buf = 'SHOWING'
    invalid attribute: TimeZone
    while executing
    "dbobj $setup get TimeZone"
    ("uplevel" body line 5)
    invoked from within
    "uplevel $body"
    invoked from within
    "transaction {uplevel $body}"
    (procedure "RetryTransaction" line 5)
    invoked from within
    "RetryTransaction {
set setup [db $db open /Setup]

    # set defrecquality [dbobj $setup get RecordQuality]
    set setuptz [dbobj $setup ..."
    (procedure "init_db" line 45)
    invoked from within
    "init_db"
    (file "./NowShowing.tcl" line 455)
    Waiting for an incomming connection!
    Any idea what's up?

    I found the answer.

You need to binary send over this new version of NowShowing.tcl, instead (attached below). Note: capitalize the "N" and "S" in nowshowing.tcl before sending over file.
