    vsplit13 freezing my computer

Well let me break down what i have and maybe someone can give me a solution. My system is a 2.0 ghz, 768 mb RAM running XP Pro. Using command prompt, i run vsplit13 like normal, and about 1/2 through the split, my comp freezes. The only way to get back working is to turn my comp off. This doesnt happen all the time mind you, maybe once every 5-10 times. Anybody having this problem or maybe a solution. TIA

    Matt

I had the exact same problem with XP as well, after about 10 times of rebooting and the SMART checking in my hard drive kicked in. I ended up running the manufactures diag program and it told me the hard drive was going to fail soon. I sent the drive back and a replacement is on its way back.

Programs like vsplit are very disk I/O intensive and can cause marginal disks to exhibit problems that normally would not show up.
