Seems to me that some old showcase info isnt being removed as it updates itself. Even though i still get showcases up to date, im still seeing vanessa carlton tour date info and no doubt tour date info in my showcases. The tour dates in the list ended like in november of 2002, so it must be old... Does anybody know what causes this or how it can be removed???

You can get rid of showcases and tivolution with the included script. Once run, no new showcases will be set and the old showcases will slowly disappear as their expiry dates come and go.
As for your other comments, the old stuff will eventually go away. For some unknown reason the expiry date on it was set too far in the future.
Yesterday I started with a blank disk, put 2.5 image backup from July '02 then xupgrade to 2.5.2, ran latest SC and at 2am download I got showcases, and I have nodoubt and vanesa also!
So don't feel bad, when/if the expire date arrives they will be removed from Showcases.
Do your run 2.5.2 also? I don't believe 3.1 will fix this.
