    31 ANNOUNCEMENT - TyStudio Beta 2 Available

The TyStudio Project Team is proud to announce TyStudio 0.5.0 Beta 2. TyStudio is the new name of TyDemux since it's a suite of tools

providing you with a complete solution for extracting, editing, and converting of tivo tystreams.

While this is still Beta software, we consider it useful for a broader audience. However you should still have in mind that it's beta

software, and can cause seriously harmful damage to the health of you, your Tivo, your PC and anyone else within a 50 ft radius . We

cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to anybody or anything. If you are unsure about installing software from irresponsible

people - don't do it. That said, we will move on to the nicer side of what we will bring you!

TyStudio is available from http://dvd-create.sourceforge.net/tystudio/index.shtml This is the homepage of TyStudio. Here you

will find extensive documentation available, along with a download page.

We urge you to read all available documentation before starting, especially the installation documentation!

Systems for feature requests and bug reports are available and we urge you to use those systems - for further information see
    http://dvd-create.sourceforge.net/ty...esources.shtml

TyStudio has it's own user mailing list available at http://dvd-create.sourceforge.net/ty...esources.shtml We highly

recommend using, it since it will make your TyStudio experience so much more enjoyable.

    Changes since Beta 1

    • Lookups/Hanging of TyEditor and TyProcess – all types of lookups/hangs should be fixed now

The Win32 download is password protected...

but the other updated downloads are not password protected..

Do I need to chat with someone about a password? I hope this is just an error.. I am very anxious to give the new version a drive around the block.

Developers: Thanks for all the hard work, TyStudio is awesome !

    E

    EDIT: Disregard... its working now!

Just tried to install Beta 2 on XP and the installer said it would install Beta 1.

setup.exe is 2230Kb whereas Beta 1 was 2206Kb is this just a small bug or is the current download wrong.

    I abandoned installation. Advice please.

Stupid question. I would imagine we need to dlaod beta 2 of TYServer as well? Also, do we ned to uninstall TYServer beta 1 or just install TYserver beta 2 on top of TYServer beta 1?

    TIA

Ahh, do the install - check the about box if it's saying beta 2 then it's beta 2.

    Cheers Olaf

PS: Most likely we forgot to update the install package description

Well Beta 2 is working great for me so far. 2.1 gig movie worked like a champ.

WinXP SP1 with the new Memory allocation Hotfix (request only as for now from MS).

When using beta 1 nothing would index and the d/l would be stuck on 0%. I installed beta 2 and now cannot get the now showing list. I cannot figure out what the problem is. Below in all of the important info that one may need to determine my problem.

    Thanks

    How to circumvent bad GOP?

I was thrilled to see Beta 2 today as I'd just encountered a problem I'd not seen before. Unfortunately b2 did not help so I wonder if someone can help me get around this:

I Processed with TyEditorb2 an SA tystream to Elementary Streams, but upon importing to SpruceUp (it's worked a dozen times for me with this method) I get an error 63% of the way-in (where it is checking the file when Add Media Asset). The error:

"Temporal References in GOP #4780 (Zero-based) are out of sequence (0xc10b000a)"

I don't suppose there is any way to relate this GOP to a time or frame to attempt to excise (edit) it out of the program?

I should note that when TyEditor was outputting the m2v and m2a files, it did pause for the longest time at approximately this point (I thought it was hung) but then it continued along to the end.

Hurray! SVCD output with 44.1KHz audio in sync with video!

I am watching a SVCD created with tystudio beta 2 and Nero.

The only quirk I have noticed (so far in this test) occurs at the end of each segment. (I do not leave all parts of the show concatenated together.) The end of the segment occurs earlier than expected and there seems to be an unusually long freeze before starting the next segment.

Karpa I don't see tyindex or tyserver running... just run them manually and everything should work.

Beta 2 installed and working like a charm. Will need to test more thoroughly over the next few days but fantastic improvement over beta 1!

    Well done you guys!

    Many Thanks
