tivoftpd - i admit defeat - where is the mips version

Please if someone can point me to the tivoftpd for Series 2 mips. It may be just late but I'm going in circles. Help appreciated!

tivoftpd.mips.gz 15KB sorphin's tivoftpd v0.2 for Series 2/MIPS. Binary only.


Ive seen and downloaded that. The 'MIPS. Binary only' threw me.

Care to explain how to extract it, without a little instruction Im lost. Winzip opens an empty archive and similar tools had a .sh file you execute to open the package on the tivo. This doesn't so I need some help if you can.

If tivo.archaic-apples.com is down then you can get it from http://erik.rainey.name/tivo It's in the section for Series 2 binaries.

you'll want to download it to your tivo (a seperate discussion) then run:

$ gzip -d tivoftpd.mips.gz

This will extract the file in place, which means you want to download the file to /var/hack/bin or wherever your bin directory is.

I grabbed what I needed off the johnny death as per mrblack51's help. But thanks for the gzip usage Im sure that will come in handy!
