Still Trying...PPV Recording first 5 minutes only

So I've been reading and reading and this one I cannot solve. I have a T-60 with xtreme25 and xplusz. My problem is when I try to advance record PPV do not get the "Buy" prompt rather get the normal "Record this showing" prompt. When the PPV records I get 5 minutes of video and the remainder of time is blank. I know this means I am not authorized, and I've turned off NOPPV thinking this should solve my problem but no dice. Can anyone at least point me in the right direction?

Since noppv converts all shows currently in your guide to "normal" channels, you'll have to wait after turning off noppv up to 2 weeks for the converted shows to work they're way out of your guide...or more correctly, for new ppv guide info to come down for all showings.

Turning off noppv and waiting is the solution to your "5 min" problem. Then it will ask if you wish to buy the program you're trying to schedule.

In the mean time, you can purchase your ppv off of DTV's website and it should work fine.

I've also ran into the same problem. When I try to set a recording for a future PPV it will schedule it in the to do list, but not prompt you to purchase. Found if it was an all day ticket and I wanted to record it that night while sleeping I could purchase it first then schedule it to record.

From what I have read, it marks PPV shoes as regular programs...

...but you cannot record or buy them?

The noppv script allows you to schedule a PPV recording in advance. Normally, you can only record a PPV at the time of it's showing. This script removes the PPV flag from the showing so that the DTivo looks at it like a normal channel instead of a PPV. Since this is generally used in conjunction with 2.5Xtreme, your phone is most likely disconnected anyway which precludes the possibility of ordering the PPV event via remote control. You can, however, still order the PPV via the DTV website or by calling DTV customer service (there's a surcharge if you call in person). The noppv script does not get you any PPV shows for free so you will have to either order them as described or get them through other means not discussed here.

I am not interested in getting free ppv (or free anything actually)... With the $110/month I pay, I am just trying to get more use from the stuff I already pay for
