If you're not connecting a phone line you need to activate the xPlusz NOPHONE option. Use xPlusz command #21,1
Should I be worried here? I installed Xtreme 2.5.2 on my Sony SAT-T60 after loosing local channels. Now I am getting the warning 'Tivo hasn't made a daily call in xx days'. Its telling me that if it doesn't make a daily call, it will shut down in 3 days.
Should I be worried? Or just ignore this?
Thanks
Vlad

When I put in #21,1 ... the readme said not to hit select or it will try to test dial... the problem is I can't get out of the menu at that point without dialing... and when I do dial it gives me an error because there is no phone line hooked up.
The only way out is to reset the changes and then it will let me out.
HELP!!!
That's kinda strange. With mine, I found that it is running XPlusz as soon as you finish entering the code and press Select. Yes, it does require a test call to get out of the menu, but with that option set no matter what it succeeds, even though I don't have any phone connected. Mind you, I am running the Xtreme 2.5.2 upgrade on my system, so this might be part of that.
But just to be on the safe side, I was playing with the files in XPlusz and found the xPlusz.ini file, and in there it appears that you can set the default values for xPlusz. I changed NOPHONE to 1 and then forced it to re-execute xPlusz.tcl from UNIX, and it took it and changed the NOPHONE value. Now when I see the status of the Last Call in the System Information, it shows as succeeded. Seems like I'm off the hook for the daily call now.
I suspect that I have now made this work, but Superzap... can you confirm that this is ok?
