Error downloading codec when launching an MPEG
I'm using tyserver and Ty Studio to extract from my Series I DirecTiVo. When I process the tystream that I've saved on my PC, Ty Studio says processing was completed successfully. I'm processing the tystream with Video to: Generic MPEG2 and Audio to: No Transcoding per the instructions to create an MPEG that I can play in Windows Media Player. When I go to launch the MPEG file that I created, I see the Media Player status line stating "attempting to connect to codec server", "sending codec request", then "error downloading codec".
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Okay, I think I may have answered my own question. I saw a message in Windows Media Player that stated MPEG II files could not be played without having DVD player software or hardware installed.
I was able to play the MPEG II file in Linux Mandrake 9.1 without a hitch though. Now I need to get tyStudio working in Linux.
