Question Edit file on Tivo using bash?

I'm new to bash, so how do I edit a file on the tivo? (hackinit)

or, do i have to mount my windows drive and copy them back and forth?

    thanks!

While you can load an editor on your tivo such as vi or joe.. I find it much more simpler to ftp the file such as hackinit to my doz box, edit it (make sure you use a unix compatible editor), and then ftp it back.

If it's a hacked unit, then usually the editor joe is installed. It's a bit tricky to use at first.
