    Unhappy call home/program guide/sleeper iso

    Dear all

    if I monete a SA2 and it no longer dials home how does it get the program data/guide????

    Call me dumb but i am confused

    DTivos get their guide data via the satellite datastream. No phone line is required for guide data.
    Please don't PM me or any other members looking for personal assistance. You'll do better by posting (after you've exhausted the search feature, of course) and taking advantage of the collective expertise of the membership instead of a single individual that may or may not be able to help you.     Since he stated SA2 I assume he means standalone, not DTivo.

    The answer is... you have to call home to get guide data.

    Can you somehow tell the Monte process NOT to turn off the call-home feature? I don't want to have to remember to manually call in for guide data.

    open your rc.sysinit.author and find the line with fixsub30.tcl (I think thats what it is called anyways) and add # to the beginning of the line (to cause that line not to be executed). Soon your tivo will dial home.
