Network card stopped working. Due to Tivo's update?

My cachecard stopped working a couple days ago, and I think it was right at the same time the Tivo updated itself to 3.1c.

My guess is that I need to re-install the driver after such an event. But before I take the drives out and disassemble a PC, I want to check. If that's the case, then it should be happening to everyone, right?

More generally, what all needs to be (re)done after a Tivo update? Will I need to re-copy all files I had put there, redo the "don't encrypt" patch, etc.?

BTW, 9thtee.com web site is down, which is why I'm not checking there for news.

aftr a tivo update you have to completely re-hack the tivo except for the tivoflash hack on the Dtivo. each update completely erases any software loaded on the tivo partition that's in use after the update.
