PAL/European system hack or utility

I got a Stand Alone (SA) Tivo series 2. Got it hacked (ftp, http, telnet, etc..) and changed the hard drive to a larger one. I'm planning to take it home to Europe where the video is PAL system.

1) I saw some hacks for series 1, which changed the series 1 tivos to PAL input/output. Was wondering if anyone knows if that hack will work or not on a series 2? Do they both use the same chipset?

2) I know that I will have to change the RF tuner also. Do you guys know of anybody who converted a series 2 to european tv standards and got it working?

I didn't even knew that such a thing exist. Thanks for the info. Might be a solution if I can not find a hack for this.

With the RF tuner the only solution is to change it, right? I'm not too familiar with hardware, so not sure how difficult is to do this. Shouldn't be too hard, since some people did it and worked for them. Any ideas? Comments?
