    2 Drive DSR6000 to 40Gb

    I am having a small problem. I have 2 DSR6000's, 1 with 2 x 120Gb Hard drives and 1 with a 40Gb. I am trying to make an image of the one with the 2 hard drives and restore it on the 40Gb. I followed Hinsdale's Guide and I am having an issue.

    To create the image, I connected the drives as follows;

    hda - Fat32 HD
    hdb - CDROM
    hdc - TivoA
    hdd - TivoB

    I booted with MFSTools 2.0 w/ Large Drive Support
    I then typed;

    mkdir /mnt/dos
    mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos
    mfsbackup -6so /mnt/dos/tivo.bak /dev/hdc /dev/hdd
    (completed without errors)
    umount /mnt/dos
    reboot

    I then removed the 2x 120Gb HDs and hooked up the 40Gb to hdc. Turned it on and typed;

    mkdir /mnt/dos
    mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos
    mfsrestore -zpi /mnt/dos/tivo.bak /dev/hdc
    (completed without errors)
    umount /mnt/dos
    reboot

    I then took the 40Gb and installed it in its Tivo and booted. The tivo then continuously reboots. Have I done something that is obviously wrong or is it just something I missed. Thank you.

    I've just tried it again from creating the backup to restore with the same result. Can someone please check my syntax and if I am using the appropriate switches. Thanks
