I've searched the forums and have run into conflicting answers to my question.
What I want to do is keep my DirecTiVo at 2.5.2, which I understand I can do by keeping the phone line unplugged.
But I'd also like to order PPV with the remote (or at least my wife would -- she doesn't want to use the Internet).
I understand that if one uses upgradesoftware=false, when a call is made the latest version will be downloaded and queued for rebooting the next day at 2:00 am. When that update installation is blocked, it will continue to reboot every night thereafter.
Is there a way to remove the reboot event from the queue? Or is there some other better solution to my problem?
