TivoScripts, S1, S2, compatibility

I just used the tivoscripts.iso on my S2 rig, and it worked great. My buddy, who has a S1 box, wants me to do the same for him, will the tivoscripts iso work for this box? thanks for the help!

Ok, just read that the tivoscripts(sleeper) iso will only work with S2's, so, my question is....what is the most current tool for upgrading/hacking the S1 rigs? again, thanks

Series 1 boxen have no prom checks at boot, etc. etc. Essentially they're wide open. Just pull the drive & install whatever you want on it.

Nope. Series 1 DirecTivo proms need to be flashed to bypass the initrd

Look at SiliconDust for a utility to flash the prom, then install what you want.
