    So, I went out and bought another TiVo...a series "2.5"

    What kind of hacks can be done on these? What is necessary to get all hacks working like on previous series 2 boxes, for example, extraction, 30 second skip, etc?

    I heard that it cannot be killhdinitrd'd?

    Uh, I did search as shown by the killhdinitrd part of my message. Secondly, I searched for series 2.5. That thread has the title as series2.5, without a space.
