I have read several post about people wanting mrv server based on the pc. This Would be great. is this really something to hope for? Is anyone working on this? If i was a developer i would give this a try. There is alot of people on this board that can hopefully pull this off. I would be willing to start a donation in its development if possible. thanks to all

Would it be impossible to mount.cifs on tivo?

if cifs is supported by linux, then go ahead and compile it and let us know how your tests go. samba (smb) is one implementation of a subset (?) of cifs, and that works on the tivo in some ways. nfs is better supported though, as is ftp and such.Originally Posted by darrin75
