    Question Restore image question

    Since my Tivo (DVR2) is broken at the moment (see this thread), I bought another one. I still want to get this one fixed and posibily salvage the shows that where on it. Is it possible to take the image from my new Tivo (R10 model) and put it on my broken Tivo. I think the problem with the broken one is a boot problem. I am in the process of making a serial cable, but I wanted to see if this was possible?

    No. The hardware is different / incompatible.
