I only ask this as the unit seems to exhibt some odd slow-downs like the Now Playing List coming up empty for a minute or so, or not showing the other DVR that's setup for MRV for about 2 minutes. They're on the same switch and it's not showing excessive traffic or errors.

That looks fairly typical to me. Every running tivosh script results in three processes under 6.x and above (e.g. tivowebplus and tivocid in your ps list). That's normal and is due to threading.

I only ask this as the unit seems to exhibt some odd slow-downs like the Now Playing List coming up empty for a minute or so, or not showing the other DVR that's setup for MRV for about 2 minutes. They're on the same switch and it's not showing excessive traffic or errors.

Sounds typical of a misconfigured DNS server. The NowPlaying list stalls until a dns server request times out. This is well covered; if you search around you should be able to find the appropriate threads.
