    Josh, deringing test

    Remember when I was babbling about ffdshow as a deringing method? It works like a charm. Compare these two which are NTSC DV. One is using MainConcept's decoder, the other is ffdshow's decoder with SPP deblocking. Pretty nice deringing, don't you think? It works in real time and should be usable during re-encoding. My guess is it would sure help reduce some of the uglies that show up at common cut points.

    edit: I just noticed SPP brings out detail without the white halo that is so common with sharpening routines. This thing is awesome!!!
