8.1-01-2-264 not allowing me to install killed kernel
Yesterday I manually upgraded my SD-H400 to 8.1 from 7.3.1
I tried my best not to make any mistakes in transfering any hack over to the new parttion (from old root hda4 to new root hda7)
also transfered boot from 3 to 6 (also tried reinstalling from PTV CD) (kept a backup of the original 8.1 boot)
killed iptables
copied rc.sysinit.author
copied tnlited (kept a backup of the original that came doen with 8.1)
copied ftpd
bootpage was perfect hda7 including upgradesoftware=false
tried to boot and the system would went into reboot loop.
finally put the drive into PC reverted all changes on hda7 to match that of the original 8.1 root.
Booted perfect. Then I just tried to write the killed kernel without any more changes. and it went agin into reboot loop. I don't understand what happened.
is the 7.2.2-oth-k1 killed kernel not compatible with 8.1 now?
Can someone help me install all my hacks again (telnet/ftp/superpatch67/tserver/mfsftp/tivoweb)?
Thanks in advance.
