Look in post 1 and there is a link to the repair check list. Look at the bottom of the list and I believe he put him number. I had to call him before and he was very approachable and glad to assist.

Omikron prom moded my first TiVoHD I think around 2008 or 2009. I'm not sure how I got his number but I know I talked to him a couple of times. He gave me tips on how to build a serial connection and threw in a molex connector gratis. Very nice guy... knowledgeable for sure. I'm sure he is in my contact list but I can't remember his real name anymore.

Since then I've prommed four boards myself. My first was an an old series 1, actually there were two PLCC32 sockets to practice on. I'm glad I didn't attempt this straight away with my Lifetime TiVoHD. It was a disaster. I did not have the right tools at the time. I have since purchased several items that have made the job easier for me. A 2 in 1 soldering rework station, a Hot Air Nozzle for the PLCC32 SMD chip, a solder sucker, magnifying lenses, a Willem programmer and of course the sockets and chips. I don't use wire solder but prefer soldering paste. I wouldn't mind helping others, this forum has been very good to me. At the very least I guess I could supply pre-programmed chips and sockets. I have quite a few. Not sure I'd want to prom a board for someone but I probably would if they had no other option. I only have the TCD652160 image originally supplied by Omikron.

Me too, but I need to wait until I get back to the states in February, I haven't received any PMs so I guess I'll just have to place an order and send my TiVo.

FYI: Just spoke with Omikron. He's been very busy so he hasn't been on the forum. Also, there were some other technical issues that he has been dealing with. He's away right now but should be back mid January. So for folks out there interested in this service, it will return back to normal very soon!
I'm going to send out my tivo to time it with his return after January 10th.

Yes, I am here, and alive, I've just been...busy. I've actually been replying to the emails and orders coming in, but haven't gotten a chance to get to the PM's. I'm going to start working through the PM backlog now, but before anyone asks, yes the service is still active. :-)
