IPOD Touch MP4 Conversion using tysuite

    HI Everyone

i know this might be a newbie question but I have been trying to use tysuite to convert directly to .mp4 or .mov format. I just recently purchased an iTouch.

I receive the java.io.exception pipe is closed error. Here is my app properties and error.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone been able to get this to do UPnP on Linux? I can't get anything out of it, although I've been able to test other UPnP servers on the same server fine, and there are other servers doing UPnP on my network.

    Missing Folders...

    Hey,

Finally gave this one a try after years of using TyTool, and for some reason, the majority of folders on my S2-DTivo dont show up in the GUI

I probably have 43 folders from recorded shows, and only 4 of them show up as folders, the rest all show up as individual shows, with the folder field in the GUI being blank....

For example, this seasons episodes of Chuck are in a folder, there are 6 of them currently there...

And in the GUI, each one is simply called Chuck...no folder name, no episode name, just Chuck in the Episode Title field...

    Any thoughts?

I haven't had time to comb all 62 pages of this thread, but does this tool, or a companion tool, yet offer the ability to both create and then mux with cuts? I've loved the idea of this tool, but have no desire to grind out content laden with commercials.

    TyTool is still working fine....

Same issue on a DVR39. Nowshowing (the compiled version) prioduces the following:

The issue is apparently when NowShowing returns the <EpisodeTitle>:<> instead of the actual title.

TivoWebPlus returns the correct info, so there may be an issue with NowShowing

Anyway, it's a minor issue for me, and thanks for a great tool!!

    Video resolution issue

I have a working TJSuite installation that has a connection to my HR DTV Tivo. However, only HD movies or series are being downloaded on 16:9, the rest is all 4:3.

Is there a way to fix this?

Did anyone ever answer you, or did you figure this out? I'd much rather use TySuiteJ with my TiVoHD but am concerned about getting my videos out of the unit in the proper format.

    TySuiteJ with Series 3

Has anyone got TySuiteJ to work with Series 3 TY files?

I have been using TyTool to pull the files and then S3toTS gui to convert to .ts files one at a time, though I have a ton of files and I like the batch converting capability of TySuiteJ.

I have tried to use the external converter of TySuiteJ by linking it to the new version of Tytompg 1.1, which I have used to convert Series 3 TY files succesfully seperately. When I try Series 3 TY files this way it seems like it goes through the motion but then never finishes giving me a java null point exception type of error on TySuiteJ.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Bill

Sbmocp, nobody answered. I am getting the video as the DVR drops it into the hard drive 4:3 and then on VLC when I play the video I force it to go 16:9. Not the best solution but I do not see any issues with quality.

Thanks for the use of this App- All works well, the only problem I have: when I extract .ty files to mpg, or convert .ty files to mpg, the resulting mpg file is 2% to 7% smaller than the orig. ty file & am concerned about Quality Loss. Is there a setting change to fix this ? (tysuite j V 2.6)
    Thanks

Is tySuiteJ and/or tytompg.exe considered to be the best/current way to convert .ty or .tmj files to mpeg? If tySuiteJ is no longer available, does someone know that the .ty file format is? Is is an MPEG program stream or some other standard format that just needs to be repackaged?
