    The boot parameters aren't seen until the kernel is booted -- long after the prom menu check.

    You could try this: from bash on the serial console, enter restart; reboot and start hitting enter once a second or so as soon as you see the message indicating the system is about to reboot.

    Prom Menu question

    I am booting from the Prom menu and recieved this message when I tried to 'boot -3'. 3 is my main Kernel.

    "What? boot -3
    diskboot failed to verify written boot sector."

    PS, didn't mean to highjack a post but I thought similar subjects should stay together.
