Severe Error

Ive just done the 2.5 fixes for the Sony T-60. All seems to work fine, then the Tivo reboots itself. It does this a few more times during the day then I get a green severe error message telling me to leave it connected for 24hrs. I reimaged with the ice image and it happened again. Any suggestions? Does Tivo really try to establish a telnet session with a technician if it is plugged in during the green screen diags?

It happeded to me serveral times with my DSR6K when I was hacking it. Every time I had to start it over again with new image to cure it.

I believe it is something to do with the corruption of the DTivo/Linux system files especially when you/system recycle the power in a bad timing. I also believe one time it was caused by a bad IDE cable.

If you keep getting this message maybe you should check and make sure both your hard drives to be free of bad sector (low level format?).

This has happened to one of my units as well. In my case I left it alone, and it did fix itself. I think it was caused by my unplugging it at a "bad" time. It has not had any other problems since.
