    Extracted, now what?

After a few years I've finally decided to do this...but I need some help.

I loaded mfs_ftp and some other tools on my hacked HD a few years back, and now have a directory of .ty+ formatted shows on my PC's hard drive.

What is the best format to convert those shows to that would be compatible with burning on a blank Blu-Ray disc for playback in a standard BR player?

I seem to remember trying to use tytompg a while back but things didn't work properly as there was some corruption in the output files. I believe it had something to do with the HD decoding. I know others have been doing this but, again, it's been a while since I tried it.

Any suggestions on the process? Many thanks.

You probably want to take a look at "s3tots" which converts the ty to mpeg2 transport streams.

Thank you! According to that thread it seems I'll also need Videoredo to edit and do some "polishing" of the file integrity as well.

Not necessarily. If I recall, I ran the .ts through "HDTV2DVD" to create a DVD fileset to burn. Not sure about Blu-Ray authoring though...
