HR20 vs HR21-100 HD upgrade while maintainging recordings
Is the partition layout the same for the HR21-100 as the howto's description of the HR20? Meaning are there three partitions, with the third being the recorded show storage? I want to upgrade my HR21-100's drive to a 1TB while maintaining my settings and recorded shows.

Being the Master Procrastinator that I am, I am only now getting around to upgrading my HR21-100. While searching around to reacquaint myself with the procedure I came across this thread. It appears I forgot to thank you for your answer and pointer to DBStalk.

just watch out which version of GParted Live you use. I donwloaded the lone that was around 0.5 and it did not work, going back to 0.4.6-1 did the trick
there is another thread on dbstalk that deatails which versions work and which are giving people headaches - - search through this:
