My S3 drive just died too. I am looking for a S3 image. i found the torrent which I am DLing now but it looks seedless. Anyone have one to seed or a FTP site available with a S3 image?

Be sure to carefully examine the sticker on the back of your TiVo and make sure you know the model number and use the right file.

The 658 has to go on at least a 1TB drive.

The 652 has to go onto at least a 160GB drive.

The 648 has to go onto at least a 250GB drive.

If going onto a larger than minimum drive, go ahead and make the swap partition bigger.

You can set it to 1000MB and only give up 15 minutes of best quality SD video, maybe even less, since that math was done with Series 2 file sizes.

That way, you never have to worry if it's too small.
