Looking for 6.2x image for a HD10-250 DirecTivo

    Hello,

I want the MRV and HMO features of the 6.2x release for the DirecTV version HD Tivo. If you have a copy of that version, can you zip and send it to me at jsherknus@yahoo.com or just send me an email that you have one to share. Thanks!

Don't hold your breath. AFIK, DirecTV / TiVo have never released software for non-existent hardware (HD10-250 is not a known model number). Also, 6.2x was never released for the HR10-250. And MRV code was removed from all releases of the 6.3x software.

Mods, please move this thread to the newbie forum.

If you want HMO functionality for the HD Tivo (i.e. the HR10-250) then apply the superpatch for your version (either 6.3x or 6.4a). As PlainBill mentioned, MRV was stripped from 6.3x and 6.4x versions. See the "How to replace lost MRV functions under 6.4a" post in this forum for setting up MovieLoader and mfs_ftp.

Just curious, although 6.2x was never released for the HR10-250, is there any reason 6.2x wouldn't actually work on that unit? Sure, the OTA functionality (and, presumably, tuning onto the few remaining MPEG-2 HD channels) would be lost. But I miss watching my music videos via Tivoserver. I have an HR10-250 and the MovieLoader/mfs_ftp workaround for MRV doesn't work with native mpeg/avi/Flash/mp4 content. 4.0.1b was specifc to the SA Tivos and we all know it works on Series 2 SD DTivos.

There is one very good reason it won't work. 6.2a does not have support for the HR10-250 hardware. This has been discussed repeatedly in other threads; people brighter than you have tried to make it work, they failed.
