what deatils do you want not much to tell.. suddenly i cannot mrv a show from box 1 to box2.. the only error i found in the sending box was above.. the receiving box hangs and has to be unplugged and rebooted.. both boxes are hacked (prom mod series 3 and nothing else has changed).. it had been working as recently as 2 days ago.. both boxes show sucessfull downloads in the last day.. on the tivo website it shows mrv enabled for all my boxes..
    all boxes running 11.0d

    any other info you want..

do you have valid MRV/MAK keys in /State/Keyring on both boxes?

I see those errors in the log on one of my tivos, though as far as I know, MRV is still working both directions. I'll verify that tonight.
    Code:
    Otverr:Sep 2 02:48:08 (none) TvNvSenderSession.C[22471]: Couldn't get a secure key for client TiVoHD._tivo-videos._tcp.local. - 0x1f0006
    Otverr:Sep 2 03:10:25 (none) TvNvSenderSession.C[22535]: Couldn't get a secure key for client TiVoHD._tivo-videos._tcp.local. - 0x1f0006

strange was on the phone with tivo for awhile.. rebooted network no go.. other box shows it as dvr instead of name forced a call and now it works again even though te other box still shows it as dvr.. keyrings must have been ****ed or something even though i compared them to the other box and they looked exactly the same..

also tivo desktop was able to download from box even when other tivos were not..

    thanks for your help

hopefully it was just me.. maybe bad keys went out on last call or something.

    Me, too

I am having this problem for a couple days now. It's survived numerous forced "calls" and reboots. It's 2 TivoHDs running 11.0c-01-2-652 with replaced PROMs. Although I see a MAK key in each Keyring, one says "Media Access Key: Temporarily Not Available" seemingly all the time. The other says this at least some of the time (and at others shows the Key).

Is it likely that the keys are out of whack with 11.0c? I see 11.0g in my SwSystem. Do I need to take this to get my MAKs working? If that's not likely, what else? One of the MAKs is dated nearly exactly 1 year ago. Is there a 1 year expiration or is this coincidence? Any info or other ideas appreciated.

Whatever the cause, we accepted the 11.0g update and modified it in situ following ScanMan's Manual upgrade process. MRV working now.

MustHaveTivo: interesting post. Was your guide still working properly on 11.0c prior to the upgrade? It might also be that 11.0c might be more than a year old (I'll need to see when Tivo deployed it) and maybe the MAKs expired?

11.0c started showing up per DDB around 4/17/09 link. I bet that has something to do with it.... >1yr old... ?

We had not noticed any unusual guide behavior. Are we the first to keep a system a year without updating?
