can't watch recorded shows, no more service

Hi all, new to the forum. I recently moved to another town and no longer get DirecTV (too many trees) I tried to hook up and load my tivo recorder to watch what I have recorded while I await Mediacom hookup. Apparently it doesnt work without the account activated. Is there a way to salvage the shows from the recorder? It's a newer one, with the blue circle in the center of it and a USB port. I'm somewhat useful with a pc as well. Thanks in advance...

That's not a DirecTivo, just the DirecTV knockoff. Shows are locked in.

Unfortunately, unlike the TiVos, you cannot watch recordings on the DirecTV DVRs if you don't have service.

As per my opinion you cant able to retreive the data from the recorder untill your account is deactivated.My advice is to activate the account again and enjoy all your recorded items.
