Did I create a Frankenstein software version?

What is tivoapp called on the Tivo HD under 11.0k? I have an installation that is showing 11.0k as the software, but 'ps ax' show many instances of SwedishChef, which I thought was an earlier version. Also, I'm having grey screen problems, which seem to indicate an earlier version as well. Anyone have any ideas?

Earlier versions of 11.x also had the "SwedishChef" as the process name when launched by the tivoApplicationLauncher. I forget which version that began with. *edit* looks like it began with version 9.3, reference here: link

Try to cat /etc/build-version to see what version the filesystem reports. Then you can check /SwSystem and /State/ServiceConfig in MFS for other info about the software version that is running. I don't think tivoapp will report a version, but you can always run sha1 over it to get a checksum for it.

Thanks for getting back to me. /etc/build-version returns this:
    Code:
    b-11-0-mr @443357 2011.01.05-1632 release-mips [] ARM_IDL_FREEZE CDDB_QUERY DCTD
    2011.01.05-1632 11.0k-01-2
The sha1 checksum from my tivoapp is 118a7c7799ef20d04dd699387d6f91f6d47905e6. Can anyone verify that? Thanks

I also get a sha1sum of 118a7c7799ef20d04dd699387d6f91f6d47905e6 on a stock 11.0k tivoapp, so that seems to confirm your running 11.0k (at least the filesystem of it).

Ok, thanks. The way I created this disk image, I thought maybe I had accidentally mixed some things up.
