    rca receiver/ultimate tv

    I got a rca receiver with no card(dwd490re) it seems that this receiver is married to another card, I've tried emulation, hu cards, bs & hcards. I keep getting invalid access card, when I go into diagnostics on the system it has a access card # in there for which I don't have. I also have let this receiver sit for two weeks unplugged and always get the same thing "invalid access card".

    Does anybody know how to reset this unit?

    Your problem is not the receiver but the card you are using. receivers do not get married to cards. Cards get married to receivers.
