There is a thread in the Series 3 section over at Tivo Community. Looks like it fixes the expired cookies. Not sure if that was worth the effort since we've been using workarounds for months.

That doesn't really help.. need patch locations and buffer hack.. I do have the reboot commented out in installsw.tcl. but boxes are still rebooting nightly.. pain in the butt...

Because there isn't a lot of us with Series 3 and it seems to be less (like me) that have received the update you may need to host your /tvbin/tivoapp file from the new OS and hope one of the experts here will take a look.

I've been keeping an eye out for the update on my TivoHD but it hasn't arrived yet. If you post your tivoapp somewhere I'll port the patches though.

While you're waiting, you could apply the NoThanks patch for 11.0k to get rid of the nightly reboots:

    Code:
    11.0k
    0x007c5140 "10400008 10000008" //nothanks

Ok, here are the standard patches for 11.0m:

    Code:
    11.0m
    0x005d2e0c "104000aa 100000aa"	//noencryption
    0x006562c0 "30b000ff 00008021"	//cci1
    0x006562e4 "00e08821 24110000"	//cci2
    0x00772e70 "00008021 24100001"	//backdoors
    0x010826a0 "30b000ff 00008021"	//cci3
    0x009b3c28 "12400003 10000003" //deletethisrecording?
    0x00b8f55c "14400026 10400026" //30secskip
    0x00b93c20 "0c2e527f 00000000" //nopauseads
Some miscellaneous patches (though I doubt the nothanks patch will ever be needed again for Series 3's):

    Code:
    0x007c5160 "10400008 10000008" //nothanks
    0x0056a3c4 "1200ffaf 1000ffaf" //ignoredrmsig1
    0x00598044 "1200ff87 1000ff87" //ignoredrmsig2
And here's the NoMEK patch - it replaces the generic noencryption patch (above) to allow MRV of encrypted recordings:

    Code:
    11.0m NoMEK
    0x005d2e08 "92220024 27a40028"
    0x005d2e0c "104000aa 0c156af8"
    0x005d2e10 "27a40028 00000000"
    0x005d2e14 "0c156af8 0c43d329"
    0x005d2e1c "8fa20020 106000aa"
    0x010f4c7c "27bdfec8 03e00008"
    0x010f4c80 "afb40128 24020001"
    0x010f4ca4 "00a0a021 8e230040"
    0x010f4ca8 "0c1b5e2d 10600002"
    0x010f4cac "00602821 00000000"
    0x010f4cb0 "00408021 8c630000"
    0x010f4cb4 "1200000a 03e00008"
    0x010f4cb8 "00001021 8fa20020"
    And finally, the updated bufferhack:

    Code:
    set sys(11.0m)[list 0x114556 0x114222	0x6c 0x1bca6a 30350192 325F14DAA33CC105AD841D8F73E3E67B7A85EDBF]

thanks here is the modified tivapppath file .. copy to /tvapppatches.tcl before using
    and the modified bufferhack11.tcl

I noticed one patch we used to have was missing any lead on the "nopromos" patch?

If you are referring to this patch: link, then I think tivo made some changes to the code that caused that patch (when ported to newer software) to cause crashes (my notes have it as valid for 11.0d, which jt1134 posts in the thread I linked, but then my notes show that it caused crashes in 11.0k). I believe that tivo changed the menu-item (promos and ads) layouts within MFS while doing premiere development (the HDUI opened up the "Discovery Bar" for ads), and this caused the issue.

I don't know of anyone who has reworked the patch for 11.0k and beyond, though if you're really annoyed by the ads, you can always craft a simple script to go and cleanse the appropriate MFS directories, and then just set up cron to run the script every so often.

The nopromos patch also caused the Video on Demand menu to stop working on the older versions as well, so I stopped porting it several versions ago.

your right i just looked at my direct patches for 11.0k bellow and nopromos was dropped from 11.0j.
As a side note thanks again, I have confirmed encryption is off, 30 skip works, buffhack works etc.
Now just waiting for one of my boxes to upgrade.. strange how two did and one hasnt.

You lost me on this one, are you saying the non-encryption patch doesn't work so we need this? Do we use this instead of the above no encryption patch? I don't understand what this second set of codes does that the first doesn't and if I need them or not.

See this for a description of the original patch and what it does. It's more selective than the brute force no-encryption patch, and as a result, ti allows transfers of encrypted recordings, in addition to unencrypted recordings.

I have been following these threads for a while, and hacked my tivo hd quite some time ago, however, i have never figured out how to convert the tivo app patches to the direct patch. can anyone explain how to convert/ or post the direct commands. I was not able to get the patch app to work for me and i have always directly patched tivo app.

    thanks in advance.

Which patch app could you not get working, mine or the .tcl app?
